The other day I watched a softball game outside and it was absolutely freezing and windy. While I was there, I daydreamed about bright colored jackets with high collars, a short dress underneath, and high black heels. Here is a sketch of what I wished I had worn to the game (although I would have probably frozen to death)

Gorgeous! I would buy this exact coat, it is stunning! I love longer coats, but all of mine have been black or grey- I dream of having a stunning pink one like this one. I agree with what you said as well- it would be so sexy with a short dress & heels :)
